In case you somehow missed the glorious news, Donald Trump has been impeached for a second time.

Making history as the first US President to be impeached twice, Donald Trump is facing another impeachment for “incitement of insurrection” against the government through the deadly riot at the US Capitol last week.

The article of impeachment directly references Trump’s false widespread claims of a voter fraud and his statements of encouragement for his supporters to “fight like hell” for their country, which all worked to encourage his supporters to the storm the Capitol.

Despite having only served a single four-year term, Trump has been impeached once again with only one week left of his presidency with a House of Representatives vote of 232 to 197. To make this second impeachment possible, 10 Republicans even went against Trump and joined the Democrats to secure the vote.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi prior to the vote called the President “a clear and present danger to the nation that we all love” for his involvement in, and encouragement of, the riots at the US Capitol which resulted in five deaths.

“The President of the United States incited this insurrection, this armed rebellion, against our common country. He must go,” Pelosi said.

“Those insurrectionists were not patriots… they were domestic terrorists and justice must prevail. But they did not appear out of a vacuum,” she continued. “They were sent here, sent here by the president, with words such as a cry to ‘fight like hell.’ Words matter. Truth matters. Accountability matters.”

Donald Trump was originally impeached in December 2019 for abuse of power and obstruction of Congress over his phone calls with the Ukraine, where he allegedly withheld aid in an attempt to get dirt on his political rival, President-elect Joe Biden. Sadly, Trump was later acquitted by a Republican-run senate.

However, if this second impeachment is successful, Trump will not only likely be barred from re-running for president in the future, but he can also lose his benefits under the Former Presidents Act. These benefits include his post-presidency pension, funding for staff and his own office, and his yearly travel budget.

So here are all the best reactions to the glorious news that Donald Trump is the first President in US history to ever get impeached twice:
