Dominic Perrottet has officially made history as the youngest person to ever be sworn in as New South Wales Premier, and Prime Minister Scott Morrison is already being grilled for allegedly telling him to fuck off.

As first reported in the Sydney Morning Herald back in August, Scott Morrison allegedly let an f-bomb slip during a phone call with Perrottet, then-Premier Gladys Berejiklian and Treasurer Josh Frydenberg to discuss the JobSaver package.

“During the conference call, Morrison became increasingly belligerent with Perrottet’s questioning of elements of the package and focusing on the flaws,” the SMH wrote in August. “Morrison let loose, hurling the f-bomb at Perrottet.”

Naturally, Morrison was repeatedly quizzed on this, and his relationship with the incoming Premier during his Tuesday morning media blitz. “We have got an honest relationship,’’ he told Sunrise when asked if he dropped an f-bomb during a phone exchange. “When we disagree, we disagree. But the next day we get back to work. That is how normal people get on with each other when they know each other well. And we do.”

Later, he told Kyle and Jackie O that he was “not going to go into that” when asked what, exactly, caused the remark.

“We were talking through some issues to do with support, and we’ve been working a lot on them,” he told KIIS FM. “And the point is, we got it right…You’ve gotta work together and you’ve gotta have robust arguments.”

Meanwhile, Perrottet told Sky News he doesn’t “want to go into what happens in private conversations” in his first interview as Premier. “Scott and I have a good relationship; it’s robust,” he told Sky News Australia. “But I’m not going to be a doormat, right, I’m here to fight for our state, and I’ve done that ever since I’ve been appointed as finance minister, and I’ll continue to do that.

“Scott and I have a healthy, robust relationship, and I think the public would expect that they want their leaders to have passion; they know that we’re not necessarily going to agree at times.

Following the original SMH report, Perrottet also refused to comment to news.com.au, simply saying he was “not prepared to discuss what happens in private meetings”.

It seems like ScoMo all but confirmed he hurled an f-bomb in Perrottet’s direction, which begs the question: who leaked it to the press? Junkee has reached out to Scott Morrison and Dominic Perrottet’s offices for comment.
