Empowering young Australians to counter fear, hate and racism during COVID-19 and beyond.

The move to take events online has been one of the saving graces of 2020. That’s even more true of DIGI Engage, a conference for young Australians happening in June. It just might be the most important event in the country at the moment.

DIGI Engage is usually a two-day conference held in Sydney. It aims to combat hate, division, and extremism within our online and real-world communities. This year, the conference wants to empower young Australians to overcome the fear, hate, violence, and racism that has grown during the COVID-19 pandemic.

That’s the good news. The best news is that applications are still open, and anyone ages 18 to 30 can register to attend the online conference taking place over two days on June 25 and 26.

Over a series of expert deep dives, skills-building workshops, and high calibre keynote addresses, DIGI Engage wants to empower young change-makers to make the world a better place during these uncertain times.

Like almost everything at the moment, this year’s conference is online, and participants will be actively involved in sessions and have the chance to meet mentors, experts, creatives, and other young people who are passionate about social issues.

You’ll work together to come up with creative solutions to protect people online and in the real world, and the skills you flex here can help change the world after the pandemic is over.

We told you it’s the wholesome and inspiring event we need right now.

If you’re passionate about bridging social divides and countering hate – whether you’re actively studying or working in the field, or are even just interested in it – you can apply for the DIGI Engage 2020 conference.

DIGI Engage wants to make Australia a better place for everyone, no matter their race, religion, and culture.

Applications to participate in DIGI Engage 2020: Bridging Divides in Isolation and Beyond close midnight Tuesday, May 27, 2020.
