Law & Order alumni Christopher Meloni has bared all in the name of damage control on behalf of exercise equipment company Peloton.

Everyone’s favourite SVU star stripped down for a new ad released on Friday, showing the actor breaking a sweat in nothing but his birthday suit and a pair of sneakers — and all just in time for National Nude Day.

“Shout out to the wardrobe dept on this one. Those socks were amazing,” the 61-year-old said on Twitter.

Peloton is trying really, really hard to promote their new app by the way, in case you were too distracted to pay full attention in between the nude bicycle crunches, weight lifting, yoga poses, and jogging shots.

Despite the expert pixellation, the full frontal shots still feel incredibly intimate, and achieve exactly what the brand expects from us mere mortals — to finally forget that their best-selling product was at the heart of a scandal just seven months ago.

Back in December, the first episode of Sex and the City reboot And Just Like That… saw their infamous stationary bike killing main character Mr. Big, with the company’s stock prices going to the dogs immediately afterwards.

“We were not made aware of the plotline,” said a rep at the time. “This was a casting opportunity for one of our instructors for an acting role — not an official brand integration or product placement.”

The last Peloton video to go viral was a dystopian Christmas ad in 2019 that was likened to a Black Mirror episode for its general creepiness and sexist undertones.
