Not gonna lie, I am extremely worried about the movie adaptation of Cats.

Yes, I know the musical is iconic, and sure, the cast is pretty great. But there’s something about the idea of a film featuring the latest in “digital fur technology” (as Oscar winning director Tom Hooper puts it) that just sounds fucking weird.

We should have more a feel for what the whole thing is gonna look like when the teaser trailer drops on Friday. But in the meantime, the producers have released a behind-the-scenes video, giving us a glimpse at the likes of Taylor Swift, Jennifer Hudson, Idris Elba and Judi Dench dancing and prowling around giant oversized sets like… well, like cats.

Did we mention the cats… are cat sized?

Like I said, I am extremely worried. And from a quick glance at social media, it would appear I’m not the only one.

Cats hits cinemas on December 26. Fingers crossed.
