It’s easy to feel helpless in the face of the horrifying destruction caused by bushfires currently raging across the country.

But there are numerous ways to help the relief effort, and the last few days have seen an overwhelming amount of donations and support given to various organisations around the country. Comedian Celeste Barber has raised a staggering $33 million (at the time of writing), while celebrities such as Nicole Kidman, Selena Gomez, and Pink have all publicly pitched in and called on their fans to do the same.

At the same time, dozens of musicians, comedians, and artists have pulled together to assist in whatever way they can. A stack of gigs have been announced around the country, with artists such as Courtney Barnett, Hermitude, Camp Cope, Hockey Dad, Joyride, Dan Sultan, Polish Club, and so many more stepping up to deliver sets.

Comedians such as Wil Anderson, Dave Hughes, Becky Lucas, and Claire Hooper will appear at fundraisers in Sydney and Melbourne, and numerous pubs and clubs around the country are putting on everything from art auctions to drag shows to get people to open their wallets.

Check out a list of events below — and if you can’t make it along to any of them, here are some other ways you can help.
