Bluesfest Just Added A Stack More Acts To Its 2021 Line-Up
Including Tash Sultana, Briggs, Haitus Kaiyote, and so many more.
Tash Sultana, Hiatus Kaiyote, and songwriting legend Kev Carmody lead Bluesfest’s second round of artists announced for the 2021 edition.
Ziggy Alberts — who recently came under fire for some dubious anti-mask statements — Briggs, Kim Churchill, and Ian Moss have also been added to the bill, which already features acts like Patti Smith, Bon Iver, The Teskey Brothers, and so many more. Bluesfest was forced to cancel its 2020 event at the last minute due to COVID-19 restrictions, after initially vowing to press ahead.
“When Bluesfest 2020 was ordered by the Government to shut-down 2020 we immediately put our noses to the grindstone within days of the cancellation and got on with 2021,” festival director Peter Noble said in a statement alongside the first line-up announcement.
“We want to present another great event, one that is safe and with best-practise protocols implemented on every level. We need it, the music industry needs it and the greater community needs it. Together we will find the most prudent pathway to revive the live music industry, an industry that is aching to get back to work ASAP.”
Bluesfest 2021 will take place over Easter weekend — April 1st to 5th — at Tyagarah Tea Tree Farm. Tickets are on sale now.
