On Friday night, Australian Baseball fans converged in Adelaide for a game between the Brisbane Bandits and Adelaide Bite. I wasn’t aware we even had a baseball league in Australia, so the game may not have been a hard one to upstage, but seven-year-old Ethan Hall — artist, hero, patriot — gave it a red hot go.

Special points here go to the baseball players themselves, who managed to not only choke back much of their evident laughter, but refrained from storming the child immediately to interrupt his song with cuddles. “LEAVE ME, I HAVE BUT ONE JOB TO DO,” Ethan would say loudly in this adorable scenario. “THE SHOW — IT MUST GO ON.”
