Beard Baubles Are Apparently A Thing This Christmas

We may have just hit peak beard.

Fresh off the news that the phrase “Ned Kelly beard” was in the shortlist for the Australian National Dictionary Centre’s word of the year – it eventually lost out to “shirtfront”, natch – is the announcement that one can now choose to furnish said Ned Kelly beard with a collection of bright, shiny baubles. Just to really get the Christmas spirit happening.

The perfect accoutrement for that important business meeting.

I mean, is this worse than vajazzling? It’s got to be close, both in aesthetics and in sheer impracticality. Although before your sense of righteous cynicism gets too close to out-and-out screen shouting, we should probably point out that all the profits being made from Beard Baubles (TM) are being funnelled directly into Beard Season, a melanoma awareness and prevention charity, which given our proximity to the ol’ hole in the ozone layer down here in Australia is something we can really get behind.

I call this look the "how did I get talked into this?"

Beard Baubles (TM) are currently sold out, but they’re expecting more stock to arrive at some point tonight, when you’ll be able to invest for the more than affordable price of £7 (and yes they do ship to Australia). Buy some for the bushranger enthusiast in your life! Or maybe just for the dog.
