Aussie Comedian Jim Jefferies Told Piers Morgan To “Fuck Off” For Defending Trump’s Muslim Ban
We were all thinking it.
Comedian Jim Jefferies got to live out a personal fantasy of mine overnight, after he told right-wing journalist, Celebrity Apprentice winner and human bin bag Piers Morgan to “fuck off” over his weak-as-piss defence of Trump’s executive order on immigration.
Jefferies and Morgan were both guests on HBO’s Real Time with Bill Maher. Towards the end of the show, Maher asked whether people who said during the election campaign that Hillary Clinton was “the lesser of two evils” should apologise. This sparked a dispute between Maher and Morgan over whether or not Trump’s Muslim ban is a Muslim ban. “There is no Muslim ban!” exclaimed Morgan.
“Oh fuck off!” interjected Jefferies. “Fuck off! It’s a fucking Muslim ban! They said it was a Muslim ban!”
“This is what you do, Piers,” the comedian continued “You say, ‘he hasn’t done this, he hasn’t done that, he’s not going to do all these things’. Give him a fucking chance mate. Hitler didn’t kill the Jews on the first day, he worked up to it.”
When Morgan accused Jefferies of being hysterical, the Australian replied that “if people got hysterical in Germany right away, then it wouldn’t have [happened].”
Incidentally, to any Trump fans reading, “he’s not the next Hitler” is not a great defence. Whether or not it’s true, surely we can set the bar a little higher than that?
