After what can only be described as one of the most tumultuous years of her young life, it’s nice to see things going Ariana Grande’s way as 2018 draws to a close.

Unless you’ve been living under some sort of naturally occurring solid aggregate of minerals, then you’ve no doubt seen Grande’s huge new video for ‘thank u, next,’ which dropped a matter of days ago.

It’s a love letter and fitting homage to some of Grande’s formative cinematic loves such as Legally BlondeMean Girls and 13 Going On 30. There’s even cameos from the cast of those movies to boot, as well as Twitter ticks of approval from their stars.

The love for the video has spread quickly — in fact, it’s spread the quickest in the history of YouTube. In the 22nd hour of ‘thank u, next”s video being released, it had hit 46 million views. This officially broke the record of the most views of a video in 24 hours, which was previously set by BTS’ ‘Idol’ back in August with a measly 45 million. Right now, it’s at 82 million — and it doesn’t appear to be slowing down any time soon.

If that wasn’t enough, Grande has also officially taken over the reigns as the most-streamed artist worldwide on Spotify. As of today, the 25-year-old is at 48,810,351 monthly listeners. This takes over from Selena Gomez, who currently holds a paltry 45,391,139 monthly listeners. Geez, it’s like these people aren’t even trying anymore.

So, to all the Ari devotees that have rightfully given her the keys to the kingdom: thank u.
