A video featuring pop goddess Ariana Grande giving a Steve Irwin impression a red hot go has been doing the rounds on Twitter and look, her Aussie accent isn’t half bad.

As Australian’s we’re very very used to yanks busting out intolerably bad attempts at our uniquely flat and endlessly beautiful style of dialect, with hit comedy show The Good Place most recently getting pilloried for it’s laughably bad Aussie accents. So it’s a nice surprise to discover at least one famous American can kinda get it right.

The video, shared by Twitter account @dcagiunta, sees the pint-sized singer on the “hunt” for some reindeer, busting out some serious Steve Irwin squats and overtly excited Aussie inflected sentiments.

Some minor criticisms aside, Aussie Twitter has absolutely frothed the imitation, even suggesting casting Grande for the next season of The Good Place to alleviate the garbage fire accents currently on display in the show:

There ya have it, ya girl Ari knows her way around an Aussie accent. Now announce some tour dates here please and thanks.
