Thought the deluge of end-of-decade content was over? Think again. ARIA has finished crunching their chart numbers for the 2010s and can reveal what we all, regrettably, already know: Australia has questionable taste.

The decade’s biggest song was Ed Sheeran’s trop-house anthem ‘Shape Of You’, with his tracks ‘Thinking Out Loud’ and ‘Perfect’ also making appearances in the top 10 singles of the 2010s. In the second spot is Gotye’s 2010 smash ‘Somebody That I Used To Know’ (excellent), followed by Mark Ronson’s ‘Uptown Funk’ (fine) and, in fourth, LMFAO’s ‘Party Rock Anthem’ (in no way acceptable). Australia, we need to talk.

In addition to the top 10 songs of the decade, the ARIAs also shared the top 10 Australian singles: following Gotye at #1 is Vance Joy’s ‘Riptide’, then Guy Sebastian’s ‘Battle Scars’, 5SOS’s ‘Youngblood’ and then Sia’s ‘Chandelier’. Tracks by Flume, Dean Lewis, Matt Corby, Sheppard, and Tones And I round it out.

On the albums front, Sheeran was bested by Adele’s 21, Michael Bublé’s Christmas, and then Adele again with 25. Sheeran can’t complain too much though: his three albums take up spots 4, 5 and 9. Not that we needed statistics to know this, but Australia really is obsessed with P!nk: she has the 6th and 7th best-selling albums of the decade.

As for Australian albums, retrospectives dominated the top 10. INXS and Cold Chisel’s best of albums took out the #1 and #2 spots, respectively, with the list aLso including compilations by Keith Urban and Crowded House. Gotye, Angus & Julia Stone, Flume, Guy Sebastian and Hilltop Hoods round it out things out.

Find the full breakdown below. Australia, lets do better this decade, yeah?
