In the alternative timeline of 2020, where COVID-19 doesn’t exist and the music industry hasn’t been brought to the brink of collapse, Alanis Morissette was touring Australia for the 25th anniversary of Jagged Little Pill.

The Canadian singer was locked in to headline the doomed 2020 iteration of Bluesfest, playing an additional bunch of shows around the country. But, alas, it was not to be.

There’s comfort to be had, however. Just before coronavirus restrictions brought live music to a grinding halt, Morissette played at show at Shepherd’s Bush in London, which will soon be released as a concert film.

She’s just shared a snippet of the gig, her classic hit ‘Ironic’. Stripped back to its bare bones, with an enthusiastic audience choir in the background, it’s goosebump inducing.

Hear the track below; the film will hit shelves on June 26.
