Watch Luke Cage Spectacularly Punch People To Ol’ Dirty Bastard In Netflix’s First Teaser

Fans of Jessica Jones have been eagerly awaiting Marvel’s latest spin-off, Luke Cage, and judging by the teaser trailer today it will not disappoint. For those who didn’t watch Jessica Jones (maybe you should rectify that this weekend), Luke Cage (Mike Colter) is a bar-owner and, ah, intimate friend of Jessica’s who also happens to have superhuman strength.

Already a popular character in the Marvel comics, Colter’s depiction of Luke Cage won the character a lot of mainstream fans.

The trailer mainly involves Luke Cage wearing a bullet-ripped hoodie, ripping the door off a car and punching people while ‘Shimmy Shimmy Ya’ plays in the background. It looks amazing.

The trailer for Marvel’s Iron Fist also came out today, but judging by the initial controversy when a non-Asian actor was cast (Game of Thrones‘ Finn Jones) it might not get the same fanfare.
