It’s happened. The sledge of the year has happened. 2015 has been a golden age for sledging Tony Abbott, but some hero in Perth has topped the lot with this incredible effort captured by a SKY News camera at a press conference beside a Perth freeway this morning.
“YOU’RE ALL A BUNCH-A WAN-KEEEEEEEEEERS.”
Everything about this sledge is beautiful; the timing, to have “WAN-KEEERS” reach crescendo just as the car passes the press conference; the sing-song tone of voice; the level of improvisation implied by being yelled from a fast-moving car on a freeway, which is not where one normally finds a Prime Minister.
Sledge of the fucking year. Add it to the genre.
