Everybody Loves Yamper, The New Pokemon That Is Literally A Corgi
It has a heart shaped butt, and it can shoot electricity.
With Nintendo’s big announcement of new Pokemon games, Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield, new instalments of one of the biggest entertainment franchises in history, we’ve been getting a whole bunch of juicy Pokemon facts.
They announced new gameplay modes, new rivals, new trainers, and a new feature that makes your Pokemon get really, really big. We got to learn about a cool new sheep.
During Nintendo’s Treehouse Live presentation at E3, the company revealed a new electric Pokemon called Yamper — and I cannot stress this enough, it is a corgi.
Look at it, it has a corgi’s butt. It has a corgi’s tongue. It is a corgi. Those people at Pokemon are GENIUSES.
Naturally, the world is overwhelmed with love for this space corgi.

It’s interesting that everyone is going nuts for fairly faithful reproductions of ordinary animals as Pokemon this time around — Wooloo and Yamper being barely Pokemon. Maybe Pokemon should lean in to this, and just go with more pedestrian Pokemon? Introducing SUSAN, a Your Mum’s Best Friend type Pokemon, who lives next door!
