First they were coming back, then they weren’t, then they did but only in the form of a ten minute internet special. But today, the will they/won’t they drama of the Will & Grace revival took another turn, with Deadline reporting that talks are underway to revive the series for realsies.

The Cast Of ‘Will & Grace’ Have Reunited For An Amazing Mini Episode Savaging Donald Trump

According to Deadline, “conversations have been ongoing about a new season of the Emmy-winning comedy”. The idea would be to do “a one-off 10-episode installment” on either NBC or Netflix, with the latter network considered more likely.

The report suggests that the surprise success of last month’s Trump-themed mini-episode sparked renewed interest in the series, but stresses that “there are no deals in place” and that “there are a lot of hurdles that make mounting a Will & Grace return a daunting task.”

Deadline also points out that “an enthusiastic fan reaction to the news of a Gilmore Girls follow-up on Netflix helped close contacts with the series’ stars,” and suggests that “maybe a similar response will help get deals done for a new Will & Grace.”

In other words, if we all start harassing Netflix on Twitter, we might actually be able to make this happen. Go now.
