Even The Wiggles Are Calling On The Government To Get Kids Off Nauru
Wake up Scott!
A pair of Australian icons have thrown their weight behind the growing push to get asylum seeker children out of detention, with Anthony Field and Emma Watkins, AKA the Blue and Yellow Wiggles, recording a video in support of the #KidsOffNauru campaign.
“Universal Children’s Day is on November 20, and it’s a day where the whole world celebrates children and their right to live in safety, to go to school, to grow, laugh, play and achieve their dreams for the future,” says Watkins.
“We sing and dance with millions of children all over the world who have those opportunities, but there are more than 100 children trapped in detention on Nauru who don’t have this freedom,” adds Field.
The pair then calls on politicians on both sides “to work together to get all the children off Nauru” by International Children’s Day on November 20.
Safe to say, this is bad news for the government. When you’ve lost The Wiggles, you know you’re in trouble. You might even call it a real political hot potato…
Woe betide any politician who stands in opposition to the Wiggles https://t.co/BulxIzaa5a

Earlier this month, almost 6000 doctors signed an open letter to Prime Minister Scott Morrison calling on him to address the growing health crisis on Nauru and bring all children held in detention there to Australia.
