Watch The Explosive First Scene Of ‘The Umbrella Academy’ Season 2 Now

The full season's out tomorrow, but here's a sneak peek.

The Umbrella Academy S2's first scene is available to watch

Ahead of The Umbrella Academy‘s second season dropping tomorrow on Netflix, you can watch the first scene below.

From the season trailer, we knew that things were looking pretty apocalyptic for the Hargreeves family — but judging by this scene, it looks like the apocalypse is arriving straight away. In it, Five (Aidan Gallagher) finds himself in 1963 where Soviet tanks are taking over a war-torn Dallas, and soon finds a few family members caught up in the fight. And then, of course, a bit of Frank Sinatra swings in.

Adapted from the comic book series of the same name co-created by Gabriel Bà and My Chemical Romance lead singer Gerard Way, The Umbrella Chronicles debuted last year on Netflix.

Starring Ellen Page, Mary J. Blige and Misfits‘ Robert Sheehan, the show centres on the Hargreeves family, a group of seven adopted children who were among those born simultaneously around the world to mothers who previously showed no signs of pregnancy. Six show supernatural powers, and fight against crimes.

For season two, the gang find themselves spread out across the 1960s after a bit of time-travelling goes astray, and the family have to face off against two impending apocalypses: the one in the contemporaneous S1, and a new threat. Oh, and Klaus is seemingly a cult leader now.

The Umbrella Academy season two arrives on Netflix on Friday 31 July. Find the opening scene and season trailer below.
