The Two Good Cookbook Is The Perfect Christmas Gift For Your Foodie Friend (Or Yourself)

We’re not sure when it happened, but at some point we became Real Adults who get excited over things like cookbooks. And now the Aussie social enterprise Two Good has released The Two Good Cookbook and we’re adding to our Christmas lists ASAP.

Since its humble beginnings as an organic soup kitchen in a church in Kings Cross, Two Good has expanded to sell restaurant-quality salads and soups in totally charming (and eco-friendly) glass jars.

Celebrity chefs including Kylie Kwong, Maggie Beer and Matt Moran have all created recipes for Two Good, which are now delivered as office catering. For every meal sold, Two Good donates another to a domestic violence shelter. Love that!

Two Good also runs a training program for women in hospitality and partners with some of Australia’s best brands, like Jac+Jack, to sell clothing, tote bags and beauty products. For every item sold, Two Good donates an identical one to a shelter or woman in need.

If you’ve been lucky enough to try one of these meals, you’ll know how good they taste, look, and make your heart feel. And now The Two Good Cookbook is slinging some of its best recipes.

The book features 70 recipes by some of Australia’s best chefs including Neil Perry, Peter Gilmore, Mitch Orr, and Mat Lindsay. Culinary goddess Nigella Lawson also features, alongside other superstar chefs from around the world.

Safe to say: there’s a lot of amazing food in the pages of The Two Good Cookbook, but it’s also full of art by Zoe Young and stories by Liane Moriarty and Markus Zusak.
