Idris Elba isn’t just an actor: he’s also The World’s Sexiest Man, London cocktail bar owner, the unfortunate basis for an ugly doll, and, under the moniker of DJ Big Driis, a a successful DJ in his own right. It makes sense, then, that Elba’s new project is Turn Up Charlie, a new Netflix comedy where he plays an aspiring DJ.

Turn Up Charlie has had a lot of hype since it was announced last year, though we didn’t have much information to go off, beyond that Elba had created the show with producer Gary Reich, and that Charlie’s career wasn’t going quite as smoothly as Elba’s. Now, Netflix has dropped the first trailer ahead of the ten-episode first season arriving in two weeks.

In it, we see Charlie struggle to pay his rent until his famous best friend (JJ Feild) introduces him to his wife Sara, a successful DJ — played by Piper Perabo (Violet in Coyote Ugly). The connection is invaluable, but Charlie isn’t offered a support slot: he becomes the nanny to Sara’s 12-year-old daughter.

We don’t know too much else, but judging by the trailer, Charlie has talent — and chemistry with Sara. Ruh oh! If you’d like to watch Elba dance in a club, DJ, and accidentally drink piss, watch the trailer below.

Turn Up Charlie debuts on Netflix Friday March 15.
