The polls have closed, the voting is done and dusted, and now begins the anxious wait to find out who will take out the Hottest 100 of 2021.

As usual, we have a bit of an idea who we’ll be seeing at the point end of the countdown. Data aggregator Warm Tunas has been at it again this year, drawing nearly 30,000 votes from across social media.

It’s worth noting this is a small sample size — about 0.99 percent according to the site — but Tunas has been wildly accurate in the past, correctly predicting a number of winners and top tens over the last few years.

As it stands, it looks like The Wiggles’ Like A Version of Tame Impala’s ‘Elephant’ will be topping the poll, followed by Gang of Youths’ ‘the angel of 8th ave.’, The Kid LAROI and Justin Bieber’s ‘Stay’, Olivia Rodrigo’s ‘good 4 u’, and Spacey Jane’s new one ‘Lots of Nothing’.

Billie Eilish, Doja Cat and SZA, and RÜFÜS DU SOL also make appearances in the top ten, while old faves like The Jungle Giants, Lime Cordiale, and Ball Park Music pop up not too far down the list. Have a look at the full predicted 100 below.

The countdown is happening this Saturday, January 22 — in case you missed it, there’s been a bit of a change in schedule from previous years. On Friday, the Hottest 200 to 101 songs will be counted down, and on Sunday Double J will kick off the Hottest 100 of 2001.
