Tonightly may be coming to an end, but at least the writers can look forward to a career in the music industry. On Thursday the team behind the ABC sketch comedy series dropped a new single, complete with music video, titled ‘Anyone Can Be A Sex Pest’. And damn is it catchy, in like a deeply, deeply horrifying kind of way.

Led by regular contributor Bridie Connell, the song begins with a spoken word intro. “Hey girls,” Connell croons. “You know that moment when your heart skips a beat and you feel weak at the knees? Well it could happen at any time. It could happen at any place. And ladies, it could happen with anyone.”

And with that, she bursts into song.

“Well it could be the guy at the cafe, the one with the look in his eye. It could be the man from the bus stop, he’s smiles every time you walk by. It could be the boss from your office, he always says you’re the best. Well it could be literally anyone, anyone can be a sex pest.”

Like all great pieces of music, the track also features a rap break.

“Well it should be as easy as 1, 2, 3, to demonstrate basic decency,” Connell rhymes. “Don’t hang out, if you’ve got your wang out. Don’t rock out, if you’ve got your cock out.”

The song ends with a simple message: “Remember girls … be careful. But more importantly, boys, don’t be a sex pest.”
