The Purple Wiggle Is Going Viral On TikTok For Being Hot
Suddenly I'm a Wiggles fan.
Australia’s Purple Wiggle aka John Pearce is going viral on TikTok after posting a series of blatant thirst traps, and we are powerless to stop him.
The Filipino-Australian dancer first made a name for himself as part of Justice Crew, who rose to fame after winning Australia’s Got Talent in 2010. He eventually joined The Wiggles in 2021 when they expanded from four to eight members, where he’s known as ‘Big Strong John’.
Meanwhile, on TikTok: same idea, different font. There, he favours a white singlet in lieu of the iconic purple skivvy, revealing his tattoos and Big, Strong™ arms. One TikTok, where he jokes about code-switching from ‘Everyday John’ to ‘John Wiggle’ went off like a hot potato, amassing four million views so far.
The TikTok comments say it all. “I don’t have little kids anymore but suddenly I’m a wiggles fan,” reads one. “Not me almost 29 bout to start watching this show again,” adds another. One simply says, “I wanna do him”. I respect the candour.
Pearce’s newfound fame has even gone global, with Pearce being interviewed by NBC News and People. We do regret to inform you, however, that he is married. He’s posted a handful of videos where he can be seen dancing with his hot wife, probably to the tune of hearts breaking everywhere.
Complete chaos, but I’m stoked that Australia’s latest claim to fame is our hot Purple Wiggle. When’s the next Wiggles concert, again? Asking for my niece.
