The First Trailer To The ‘Gilmore Girls’ Revival Is Finally Here And It Is Very 2016
"Do you think John Oliver would find me hot?"
No more teasers from the set and terrible posters and photos for us to obsess over. The first REAL, MOVING, FAST-TALKING trailer for the Gilmore Girls revival, Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life, is finally here.
In the show’s true style, it combines comforting images of familiar haunts around Stars Hollow backed by the kind of music you’d find in a country yoga retreat with a simple and whipsmart chat over coffee about corpse flowers, smartphones, John Oliver and whether or not Amy Schumer would like Lorelai. Gilmore Girls has always been stacked full of pop culture references, but hoo boy, it is weird to hear them coming from 2016.
Though many fans are freaking out about the fact Lorelai isn’t wearing a wedding band (LUKEEEE?), the prevailing response to this first look at the series is total joy. This is helped by the fact it also blessed us with a release date! The four new episodes will drop on Netflix November 25 in the US (on the extremely binge-friendly Thanksgiving weekend).
We can all officially start counting down the days.
.@vulture I would love her!
