Here’s Everything We Know About ‘The Falcon And The Winter Soldier’
Your next dose of the MCU will arrive Friday the 19th of March.
The first season of WandaVision is over and it’s time for the next chapter in the MCU, The Falcon And The Winter Soldier. Here’s everything we know about the series coming to Disney+ on March 19th.
The official synopsis for the series reads, “Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, Sam Wilson/Falcon (Anthony Mackie) and Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) team up in a global adventure that tests their abilities—and their patience—in Marvel Studios’ The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.”
Sebastian Stan And Anthony Mackie Won’t Be The Only Familiar Faces
If it wasn’t clear by now TFATWS sees Anthony Mackie reprise his role as Sam Wilson (Falcon), and Sebastian Stan reprising his role as Bucky Barnes (The Winter Soldier). The pair are now “co-workers” dealing with the legacy left by their bestie, Captain America in a post-Captain America world.
Stan and Mackie aren’t the only ones making a comeback. Emily Van Camp will also reprise her role as Sharon Carter, Daniel Bruhl as Sokovian terrorist Helmut Zemo, and Don Cheadle’s beloved role as James “War Machine” Rhodes.

There Will Only Be One Season
If you were hoping for multiple series of Sam and Bucky’s odd couple team up, you’re out of luck. Anthony Mackie himself confirmed that there will only be one season of TFATWS.
But remember, it’s like Vision says, “A thing isn’t beautiful because it lasts.”

We Will See Sam’s Full Backstory
In an interview with Disney’s D23 magazine, Anthony Mackie has also revealed that TFATWS will explore Sam’s backstory before he met Captain America. He says,
“The Falcon is a regular guy who just happened to meet Captain America and volunteered as a fellow soldier to try and save the world. Sam is always Sam. The way it’s written and the way they’ve been playing it is he’s always going to be Sam. The great thing about the series is you get to learn his entire backstory, his life, who he is, and how he became Sam Wilson.”

The Series Will Have Six Episodes
Unlike WandaVision which gifted us 9 intriguing episodes, TFATWS will consist of 6. They will be longer than WandaVision episodes, however. Each episode will be about 40-50 minutes long.
TFATWS episodes will premiere on Fridays, once a week, every week until the 23rd of April. The series will start on the 19th of March.
