The Epic First Trailer For ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’ Has Arrived

Hope you weren’t planning on sleeping or anything! It’s time to start excitedly mashing that keyboard and nerding out on Twitter with Americans who’ve just had their morning coffee. Your first look at Rogue One is finally here:
Though this is actually just a teaser trailer, the nearly two-minute-long clip thankfully delivers some extremely quality goods. There’s a casual sword fight with a Stormtrooper, AT-AT Walkers are blowing everything up, and we also get to see Felicity Jones gearing up to kick butt as Katniss Everdeen Jyn Erso.
As a deviation from the main films — some time before A New Hope — Rogue One tells the story of a group of Rebel fighters trying to hijack the Death Star. It’s directed by Gareth Edwards who did 2014’s Godzilla, and Jones is joined on-screen by a stellar cast including Diego Luna, Mads Mikkelsen, Forest Whittaker, Ben Mendelsohn, and oh no, you’ve stopped reading to watch it again.
