Olivia Colman Is Queen Elizabeth In The First Teaser For ‘The Crown’ Season 3
Long live the Queen.
After two years at the helm, Claire Foy has handed Queen Lizzie’s sceptre over to Oscar-winner Olivia Colman for the upcoming third season of Netflix’s The Crown. And if nothing else, the star of Peep Show and The Favourite certainly looks the part.
Netflix dropped the first teaser for the show’s third season this morning, and admittedly, there’s not a lot to go on. We watch as the camera zooms slowly in through a half open door, before Colman steps into frame, long white gloves, headgear and all.
Colman isn’t the only newcomer in season three. Tobias Menzies will take over from Matt Smith as Prince Phillip, while Helena Bonham Carter will replace Vanessa Kirby as Princess Margaret. I’m sure we’ll get to see them in promos in due course, but in the meantime, check out the teaser below.
The Crown season three will debut on Netflix on November 17.
