Tame Impala frontman Kevin Parker donned a blue skivvy at a Wiggles concert in Western Australia, after the ARIA award-winning musician joined the group for a guest performance.

During The Wiggles’ exhaustively named ‘Fruit Salad TV Big Show Tour’ show in Perth, Red Wiggle Simon Pryce told the crowd the psychedelic surprise guest would lend his guitar chops for the Wiggle’s cover of ‘Elephant’, with Parker sticking around for a memorable rendition of ‘Hot Potato’.

Parker had a really great time on stage and later said in a statement the experience was “one of the most enjoyable things I’ve done”. He later told triple j that he was “pretty nervous” prior to performing after when he called a “once-in-a-life time opportunity” from the children’s group.

Following the Wiggles/Tame Impala crossover which took out first place in the annual Hottest 100 this year, the children’s group have released a double album titled ReWiggled.

The compilation features covers of Wiggles songs by Australian artists like Emily Wurramara and Stella Donnelly, as well as Wigglified versions of classics such as ‘Get On The Good Foot’ by James Brown and ‘Thunderstruck’ by ACDC.
