‘The Feed’ Has Updated ‘We Didn’t Start The Fire’ With 2018’s Biggest News Stories

We didn't spike the strawberries.

I think we can all agree that the world has continued to go to shit in 2018. I think we can also agree that there is only one way to look back on a year in which everything has continued to go to shit: by updating the lyrics of ‘We Didn’t Start The Fire’ to include the latest crop of bad news stories.

While there’s still over a month of 2018 left to endure (please no), the team over at The Feed have already gone ahead and updated the song for us, and they’ve done a cracking job.

I mean, does any lyric sum up 2018 better than “wellness blogger, poo jogger, I can’t take it any longer!”? The answer is yes, actually, and it’s this one: “strawberries filled with needles! Though they tried to harm us we support the farmers!”. Because while 2018 was a year marked by just so much terrible, awful, no-good news, I think we’re all united on the fact that the brief crisis over people finding needles in their strawberries was the biggest story of the year by a huge margin.

Anyway, if you’d like to relive the horror of 2018’s strawberry crisis (and other, smaller news stories) in a musical format, you can catch The Feed’s rendition of ‘We Didn’t Start The Fire’ below. If you’d like to relive the horror of 2018 through even more of The Feed’s great work, you can find some of their greatest hits here.
