It’s the most wonderful time of the year: Spotify Wrapped season.

Yep, one of the biggest music streaming sites in the world is slowly releasing the statistics on the most streamed songs of the last year and beyond. Earlier this week, we learned about the most streamed songs of the decade, a list that included both reigning pop superstars and a cluster of one-hit wonders.

Now it’s getting personal: Spotify is dropping everyone a list of their own top songs of 2019, like some kind of musical, digital Santa.

If you head over to the Spotify site, there you’ll find your Top Songs in a little featured section on the home page.

Probably best to steel yourself for what you’re going to find there. After all, if you’ve had a bad break-up this year, you can expect to stumble across a lotta Robyn, I’m guessing, or ‘Thank U, Next’.

But hell, that’s the joy of these Spotify Wrapped lists, anyway, right: they’re little time capsules, allowing you to reflect on the highs and lows of a year lived through music.

That’s what I’ll be telling myself while playing through the list, anyway.

Oh, and if you want to check out your Spotify Wrapped for the entire year, head here.
