Splendour In The Grass Is Coming To Sydney For A Pop-Up Festival
And the line-up is STACKED.
Barely two weeks after announcing a new virtual festival, Splendour in the Grass organisers have revealed yet another event — this time taking place in Sydney.
The newly minted Splendour in the City will hit Sydney’s Overseas Passenger Terminal next month, with a full nine days of live music and comedy gigs locked in.
Acts like Spacey Jane, Tash Sultana, Vera Blue, Violent Soho, and Teenage Joans are all set to perform over the course of the week; on the comedy side, you can grab sets from the likes of Tom Ballard, Nazeem Hussain, Nina Oyama, Nath Valvo, Gen Fricker, and a heap more. “While we’re still working towards our Byron Bay event in November and are very grateful for the ongoing support from our Splendour community, we hope that the Splendour in the City pop up, alongside our recently announced Splendour XR virtual festival, will tide you all over in the meantime,” promoter Jessica Ducrou said.
There’s going to be a bunch more Splendour stuff happening as well — there’ll be a ‘Freak VR’ setup happening, a yet-to-be-announced arts program, and a bunch of festival bars transplanted straight from the North Byron Parklands site.
