Splendour In The Grass kicks off this weekend at the North Byron Parklands, and the biggest question looming isn’t what surprises the line-up has in store, but what the weather looks like. What do you need to pack?

A quick look at the BOM says things are looking sunny, if not a little cold when the sun goes down. According to them, the weekend will hit a max of 21 degrees on Sunday 21 July, hitting its stride for the afternoon’s sets by The Reubens, Last Dinosaurs and The Beths. Friday and Saturday will cap out at 20 degrees, with minimums of 11 during the day — Sunday will drop to 13.

Night-time is a different game though. Friday’s the harshest, with temperatures expected to drop to as low as 3, but generally you’ll be dancing in single-digit weather come each nighttime. In short, pack a parka.

And rain? We’re in for a dry weekend. Friday’s currently sitting at a zero per cent chance of rain, levelling up each day to Sunday’s still-low 20 per cent. We like those odds. Of course, for the most up-to-date info, you’ll want to check the BOM closer to the date — they update the forecast each day at 4.30pm AEST. Double check the set-times here — and remember, Eggboy is speaking on Sunday, because why the hell not.

Splendour In The Grass 2019 kicks off Thursday 18 July and wraps up Sunday 21 July at North Byron Parklands, headlined by Childish Gambino, Tame Impala and Chance The Rapper. Tickets are, uh, extremely sold out.
