It’s official: Sophie Monk is the greatest thing to ever happen to reality television.

Her debut The Bachelorette last night was glorious from start to finish, highlighted by moments where she kindly comforted a guy who was crying about not being cheated on, and sledged a dude’s awful man bun by casually asking: “Did you get that when it was in fashion, or just now?”

Of course, Monk was stealing our hearts long before she sashayed on to The Bachelorette. In 2003, at the height of her post-Popstars fame, Monk appeared on the short-lived talk  show Greeks On The Roofhosted by comedian Effie.

It was then that one of the best moments in Australian television history occurred.

In the middle of her interview, Monk grabbed two plastic recorders, shoved them up her nose, and started honking for all she was worth. I don’t know what’s better: the fact that this happened in the first place, or that Monk actually managed to snort out a discernible melody.

Needless to say, it needs to be seen to be believed:
