In case you aren’t into sporting games where big men run into each other while they chase a ball, the 54th Super Bowl is happening right now.

The Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers are currently going head to head at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida. But while sports are all fun and good, we all know that the best part of the Super Bowl is the half-time show.

After all, the who’s who of the music industry have graced the Super Bowl stage for millions of viewers to see. Despite the artists not actually getting paid for their performances, the likes of Beyoncé, Prince and The Rolling Stones have all blessed the Super Bowl audience with their talents.

This year, the powerhouses who are Jennifer Lopez and Shakira teamed up and brought a Latin flair to the sporting game. With the help of J Balvin and Bad Bunny, J.Lo and Shakira performed a medley of their hits during their 12-minute show.

People were quick to make jokes about some moments, like Shakira’s weird drum solo and Bad Bunny’s Tin Man get-up. But there was one moment during the performance that had the internet talking: Whatever the hell that thing Shakira did with her mouth was. As the camera panned over to Shakira, she took the moment to flick her tongue back and forth like a lizard.

Reminiscent of the internet’s favourite tongue wagging-goat, everyone started to meme the strange but wonderful moment.
