To celebrate 10 years since the release of her iconic song ‘Friday’, Rebecca Black has given it possibly the most turbo remix imaginable.

Dorian Electra, Big Freedia, and 2000s favourites 3OH!3 all feature on the remix, which was produced by Dylan Brady (one half of chaotic meme band 100 gecs).

So understandably, the remix is completely off the wall, sounding closer to some more extreme tracks from Charli XCX or the late SOPHIE than the bubblegum pop of the original. Listen to the track below.

The singer has been enjoying something of a renaissance lately, mostly due to her popularity on TikTok, where she’s amassed a following of over 760,000 fans. She’s gifted fans an acoustic version of ‘Friday‘ — which is actually, ahem, very good — as well as dropping a haunting cover of Smash Mouth’s ‘All Star’.

She recently released a brand new single, called ‘Girlfriend‘, a slick and well-produced pop cut. So we’re calling it: 2021 will be the year of Rebecca Black’s comeback.
