Please Enjoy These Photos Of Premier Dan Andrews Gazing Lovingly At Some Cannabis Buds
These are my babies, these plants.
Daniel Andrews is a very popular guy. From his public support of the #LetThemStay campaign, to his impassioned apology to Victoria’s gay community for the “state-sanctioned homophobia” they have suffered in the past, the Victorian Premier has established himself as a rarity in this country: a compassionate and empathetic politician!
If you needed further proof of how likeable Daniel Andrews is, please inspect these photos of him staring in pride at this new crop of medicinal cannabis. “Last month, I visited a secret facility,” he says, quite ominously. “I can’t tell you where it is, but I can tell you what’s going on there.”
Look at him! Look how happy he is!
Of course, Dan Andrews isn’t just hanging out in a greenhouse getting high; it’s part of a fairly fantastic new government initiative for treating epilepsy. A week after Parliament approved the use of the drug to treat children with severe epilepsy, a ‘secret’ crop was started so that these children will be able to use it as early as next year.
The state budget includes a $28.5 million cultivation trial, a new Office of Medicinal Cannabis to regulate the drug’s distribution and funding to subsidise the cost of the drug for needy families. “We are going to be the first state that will grow, manufacture and dispense medicinal cannabis in our nation,” Andrews told the ABC. “It’s Victoria doing what we do best – leading our nation in the best care for the largest number of patients.”
Everyone, find a man who looks at you like Dan Andrews looks at medicinal cannabis.
