The full trailer for the new season of Orange Is The New Black is here, and all our favourite convicted criminals are in maximum security prison, which we’re going to assume sucks a whole bunch.
Orange Is The New Black is set in a woman’s prison — it’s kinda its whole deal. We’ve had five seasons of the inmates bouncing around Litchfield Penitentiary, and things were getting a little stale. Luckily, last season they kinda set the whole place on fire.
Season 6 has transported all the cast from the relative comforts of a low security gaol to the much more serious and grim Litchfield Max, where all the rules are different, and the fluorescent lighting much harsher and grainier.
This comes off the back of last season’s arc, was a big ol’ prison riot which resulted in the shooting and death of a prison guard. Consequences, I guess.
“This isn’t home — this is not home,” says Suzanne, and she is not wrong. Looking forward to everything being shaken up by this big change.
