Paul Rudd Is Officially Joining Season 3 Of ‘Only Murders In The Building’

Paul Rudd is reportedly joining the cast of Only Murders In The Building for its third season, and respectfully, this is the only guest star who has felt right for the show so far.
Variety reports that the Clueless actor will star in Season 3 of the cosy mystery series as Broadway star Ben Glenroy, who surprised audiences with a cameo in the season finale of Season 2.
Series creator John Hoffman told Variety of the news in a statement. “Paul Rudd, after making an auspicious entrance into the world of our show at the end of Season 2 as Ben Glenroy, is someone we clearly want to know more about and see in our upcoming Season 3 — as he is a clear source of many upcoming questions and, as ever with our show, many twists yet to come!” Absolutely, John Hoffman! If you haven’t seen Only Murders In The Building yet, we would urge you to do so immediately. The series traces the lives of three unlikely friends — two 70-somethings (Steve Martin and Martin Short) and one 20-something (Selena Gomez) — brought together in the wake of a man being found dead in their apartment building. And while that’s quite a bleak premise, Only Murders is one of the most wholesome TV shows that is currently around.
The second season of the series, which just wrapped up, revealed the identity of building supervisor Bunny Folger’s murderer after our three icons did what they do best — amateur detective work; thoughtfully documented in podcast form.
Unlike Season 1, which cast relatively unknown actors to star alongside its famous leads, Season 2 brought out the big guns; including Amy Schumer — who played some kind of old Hollywood version of herself before disappearing into the ether — and Cara Delevingne in the role of a trendy NYC artist.
It’s not yet clear whether Rudd will be popping in and out of Season 3 or settling in as a series regular, but regardless, we look forward to seeing his friendly face.
