Maggie Rogers is currently touring the world off the back of her debut album Heard It In A Past Life — and London audiences got an extra surprise when Florence Welch joined the 24-year-old on stage for a duet of Roger’s ‘Light On’. Better yet, we can all watch it too.

Welch, who was in Australia last month for a spell-binding tour, popped up during Roger’s show at 02 Academy Brixton, arriving after the song’s first chorus. Since it’s Welch’s home turf (she even has a song about it), Rogers invited her on-stage.

“Ladies and gentlemen, it is a full moon and we are in South London,” said Rogers. “May I please introduce to you my musical big sister, the most powerful witch I know, Miss Florence Welch.”

In the fan-recorded footage below, you can hear and see the crowd go crazy as Welch walks on-stage. Thankfully, the audio quality’s pretty damn good — it’s almost like being there. Not quite, but almost. We’re crossing our fingers for a recorded version, as Welch’s soaring voice pairs well with Roger’s.

We’ll be able to catch Rogers soon — her world tour arrives in Australia this May, with stops in Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Melbourne and Sydney, though that last one’s yet to be officially announced. In the meantime, catch her duet with Welch below.
