Black Panther and Us star Lupita Nyong’o is a zombie slaying primary school teacher who’ll stop at nothing to protect her students from the walking dead in the extremely bloody first trailer for Aussie zombie comedy Little Monsters.

The movie, which scored strong reviews out of both Sundance and SXSW, takes place during a school excursion to a petting zoo — a petting zoo that just so happens to be located next to a top secret military base where the army is experimenting with bringing people back from the dead. Typical.

Director Abe Forsythe previously helmed the Cronulla riots comedy Down Under, so a black comedy about children being chased by flesh eating monsters seems like the logical next step for him.

Little Monsters will have its Australian premiere at the Melbourne International Film Festival on August 10. A national release date has yet to be announced.
