Right as we speak, the cream of the local music industry crop are assembled at the Star Casino in Sydney for the annual gongfest that is the ARIA Awards.

At the time of writing, a number of pointy trophies have already been awarded – with Gang Of Youths, A.B. Original, Amy Shark, and Paul Kelly all receiving nods. We’ll have the full list of winners for you soon enough.

Of course, the trophies aren’t the only good thing about the awards. New Zealand pop star Lorde was the first cab off the rank when it came to the evening’s performances, and as usual, she knocked it out of the fucking park.

She pulled out two tracks from her acclaimed record, Melodrama, performing the stark and ludicrously emotional ‘Liability’, which she then mashed into her bounding early single ‘Green Light’.

Watch her performance below. We are not worthy.
