This Guy Fleeing With A Pint After The London Bridge Attack Is Now An Internet Hero
"You can threaten our lives. But we will never drop our pint."
A man has been hailed as an internet hero after fleeing from the London Bridge attacks with his pint of beer, shining some light on a dark moment in modern British history.
He was spotted as part of Sky News coverage of the events and has since spread all over social media.
With steely resilience, a (probably inappropriately) calm demeanour, and a firm grasp on his pint glass, the man is being praised as an embodiment of the British motto ‘Keep Calm and Carry On’.

Brits at their finest. You can threaten our lives. You can terrorise our streets. We will take shelter, but we will never drop our pint. pic.twitter.com/qaNGxr5THk

Not for nothing, the scene is also being compared to Jimmy Buffet’s memorable cameo in Jurassic World:

Many have criticised social media users for making jokes immediately after the attacks. However, British Twitter have largely expressed their sympathy and an unusual sense of pride with the man who isn’t leaving his expensive drink behind.
For many, it’s a piece of comic relief which has come out of a tragic time.
It's London bridge ffs he's paid £5.50 for that pint

Nobody is ignoring the spilt blood but humour gives us the strength to fight for those who were hurt and killed. It's just how we do it here
