It’s been 24 years since we were given the most ambitious human-animation crossover of all time: Space Jam. 

And now, we finally have our first look at the Space Jam: A New Legacy, the 2021 sequel to the original basketball comedy that starred Michael Jordan and a number of Looney Tunes favourites.

While we don’t really know much about the upcoming film beyond the sneak peek pictures shared by Entertainment Weekly and the fact that LeBron James would be leading the story, the director of Space Jam 2 has revealed one major change to the vibe of A New Legacy: Lola Bunny is no longer going to be sexy.

Director Malcolm D. Lee explained that the team “reworked” Lola Bunny as he was “caught off guard” by the “very sexualised” way the animated rabbit was portrayed in the original 1996 film.

“This is 2021. It’s important to reflect the authenticity of strong, capable female characters,” Lee explained.

Naturally, the horny bastards of the world were absolutely beside themselves over the news that *checks notes* an animated rabbit was *checks notes again* losing her tits after 24 years of being sexualised.

“This crap is getting so old. Let’s just get rid of everything with sex appeal because it offends a small percentage of people,” tweeted one absolute hornbag. “Let’s act like women with big boobs don’t even exist.”
