"How the fuck did these teds get big?"

You saw the name at the top. You know what you’re in for. What did you expect?

It’s not like Liam Gallagher’s three-million-plus Twitter followers are hanging on the timeline for updates on a new album — last year more or less proved he’s got nothing left in the tank as far as that’s concerned.

No, instead Gallagher is still eyed off in the internet age for being endlessly quotable and for his 280-character banter over on Twitter.

So who’s his latest target? None other than fellow big-in-the-90s English band Radiohead.

Brother Noel has had his fair share of digs at the band in the past, among the top barbs being that his cat was more rock & roll than them: “If Thom Yorke fucking shit into a light bulb and started blowing it like an empty beer bottle it’d probably get nine out of 10.”

For whatever reason, however, Liam’s never gotten in on the action much in the past. That was, of course, until this fateful weekend past.

Okay, so we can ascertain that Gallagher has found himself at a house party of some description and that the people at said party are discussing Radiohead. Strong start.

That’s the band’s 1993 hit ‘Creep,’ to translate. Two more tweets get fired off:

Presumably, that’s ‘Planet Telex’ and ‘The Bends,’ the first two tracks on Radiohead’s second album The Bends. Theoretically, Gallagher has heard these three songs back to back at the party – peculiar playlist choices, but who are we to question the motives of the party-throwers?

That’s all it takes to set the 46-year-old off.

The closest thing Gallagher gets to a proper critical analysis arrives:

It’s semi-valid criticism of Thom Yorke’s vocal delivery on the track, sure, but it loses its edge when it comes from one of rock’s biggest one-trick ponies when it comes to singing.

It’s around this time that Gallagher drops the million-dollar question:

He then pulls a classic LG and answers his own question:

Presumably, he’s been listening to The Bends this entire time at the party, as he’s now waiting around to hear ‘Karma Police.’ The more savvy readers may well have already noted that ‘Karma Police’ is indeed not on The Bends, meaning you have a better reaction time than one of the most famous rock singers of all time.

Upon realising he’s not going to be hearing ‘Karma Police’ anytime soon, Liam pulls a Gordon Ramsay and shuts it down.

Here endeth the saga. Just another bizarre but nonetheless entertaining online rant from our eternally-aggravated hero.

Radiohead have not responded to Gallagher at the time of publishing. Presumably, because they’re adults with families, but that’s just speculation on our behalf.
