Lana Del Rey Is Dragging Fans On Twitter For Listening To Her Leaked Album
Hell hath no fury like a Lana scorned.
A whole lot of blood, sweat and tears goes into making an album — so it probably sucks to have the thing you’ve poured your heart into leaked ahead of schedule.
Just ask Lana Del Rey. After months of build up, tomorrow pop’s poutiest star will share her highly-anticipated new album, Lust For Life — only it seems some of us just couldn’t wait for the official release date. A leaked copy of the LP surfaced online a few days ago, and impatient fans were quick to spread it far and wide in Twitter.
Lana was not happy:
Sensing their overlord’s wrath, die-hard fans began alerting her to the offending link so it could be reported — and after a mad flurry of (since deleted) tweets, it finally disappeared. As the saying goes: hell hath no fury like an artist whose album has been Torrented and shared via social media.
It’s not the first time this has happened to Del Rey, either — back in 2013 she had an entire record leaked online, causing her to stop working on any new music because she felt “invaded.”
So in the future, let’s all do the right thing and settle for watching ‘Lust For Life’ on repeat until the album drops.
