Julia Stone and Kwame teamed up on this week’s episode of The Set for a thumping rework of Kanye West’s ‘All Of The Lights’.

The veteran singer took on the main vocal and topline duties, opening the track with a plucked acoustic progression that was worlds away from the horn stabs of the original. Kwame handled all the bars, throwing in references to the passing of Mac Miller, DMX, and the rise of anti-Asian racism in the wake of the pandemic. Some slightly off-kilter harmonies aside, it was a crushing cover — vocoder very much included.

It’s the latest in a string of great collabs on the show — last week The Jungle Giants, Sycco, and Patience linked up on U2’s ‘Beautiful Day‘, and Ruel and Jarryd James covered a Jeff Buckley classic a week earlier.

Elsewhere in the most recent ep, Kwame brought out fellow rapper Tasman Keith to perform his recent single ‘ONE’, and he also slid his way through the velvety ‘NO TIME’. Watch all performances below.
