On Friday, Kanye West released his eighth studio album, Ye.

As expected, it landed with some serious fanfare: West flew out a planeload of media, celebrities, musicians, industry execs, and “influencers” to a mountain resort in Wyoming for a listening party hosted by Chris Rock — which was live streamed around the world.

Ye hit streaming services early the next day — and while opinions on the record itself remain decidedly mixed, there’s been collective excitement about one particular part of it: the cover.

According to Kim Kardashian, Kanye snapped the cover of Ye on his iPhone on the way to the listening party — and it turned out like this:

Perhaps Kanye knew that the cover was destined to be memed, because a day after Ye dropped he tweeted a link to an artwork generator (dubbed the ‘Yenerator‘) created by developer Tim Bauman and artist Yung Jake — which allows users to easily slap their desired text onto the mountain background.

Naturally the internet went bananas, and thousands of Ye memes are flooding social media as we speak — from light disses (‘If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late’) to hardcore truths (‘Pineapple doesn’t belong on pizza’).
