It’s only after Kanye West comes back to Twitter that you realise how dull social media was without him.

After an 11-month absence, the rapper abruptly returned to Twitter over the weekend and wasted no time getting back to his Kanye best.

Over the last few days he’s been busy posting pictures of his Yeezy shoe line, showing off his new neck tatt design, throwing some support towards his former brother-in-law Lamar Odom, and asking his followers to caption random photos.

Of course, it wouldn’t be Kanye on Twitter without some existential musings. Yesterday the rapper dropped the shoes and got deep, unleashing a series of tweets on the nature of creativity, ideas, and life — in the way that only Kanye can.

It’s best if you just read them straight up:

There’s plenty of speculation that Kanye’s return to Twitter is an indication that a new album is on the way — we do know that Kanye has been in the studio over the last few months working on the follow-up to 2016’s The Life Of Pablo.

He’s reportedly been recording in Wyoming alongside frequent collaborator The Dream — but not even his record label has any idea when we can expect a new album to be released.

“When we talk, we don’t really get down to the granular of where he’s going and how he’s flying there,” Def Jam CEO told Variety. “Kanye is working, that’s been widely reported… What’s great about our relationship is that I always know when it’s go time — because he wakes me up.”

Whatever’s happening with the album, we’d advise you to enjoy Kanye’s return to Twitter now — before he deletes all his tweets again.
